It is with great pleasure that we announce that Shave and Gibson Packaging (Pty) Ltd has acquired a 51% interest in Counterpoint Trading (Pty) Ltd, a leading manufacturer of paper bags, industrial wipes and related products.
Counterpoint was started 14 years ago by two entrepreneurs, Ruben van Wambeke and Wim van Herzeele, and operates out of their factory in Hammarsdale, KZN. Counterpoint includes a number of leading retailers and franchisors among their customers, and have a strong reputation for quality product and reliable service.
We believe that Counterpoint will add significant value to S&G through the addition of further products which are required by our own customers. As people, we share similar values and corporate beliefs and we are confident that this partnership will be a major success in the years to come.
Counterpoint will continue to manufacture their products from their existing factory, and to trade independently under their own name. We are confident that this will be a fruitful partnership, and we welcome Wim and Ruben and their team into the S&G Group of companies.
